    Hatef Mokhtar (Persian:هاتف مختار) (born 11 May 1962) is an Afghan author currently living in Norway and is a Norwegian citizen.

    He is the founder and chief editor of The Oslo Times and a human-rights activist. He writes for several newspapers and magazines such as KL-Today, "Euractiv"[1]Daily Sun,[2]Malaysia Today, "Khama Press"[3]Haama Daily, groruddalen.no,[4] and Burma Digest.
