James William Buffett (December 25, 1946 – September 1, 2023) was an American singer-songwriter,^[10] musician, author, actor, and businessman.

He was known for his Coral Reefer Band, Buffett recorded hit songs including "Margaritaville".

Buffett died on September 1, 2023 at his home in Sag Harbor, New York from skin cancer, aged 76.^[11]
